Ukraine and Our Strategic Interest

Hello Fellow Patriots:

Our subject commences long ago when the geopolitical world had its biggest changeover with the rise of European Colonization. From Robert Longley:

“Colonialism is the practice of one country taking full or partial political control of another country and occupying it with settlers for purposes of profiting from its resources and economy. Since both practices involve the political and economic control of a dominant country over a vulnerable territory, colonialism can be hard to distinguish from imperialism. From ancient times to the beginning of the 20th century, powerful countries openly scrambled to expand their influence through colonialism. By the outbreak of World War I in 1914, European powers had colonized countries on virtually every continent.”

the following is the complete list of 20th-century colonizers:

Austria, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Turkey, Japan, Russia, France, Soviet Union, Great Britain.

Conspicuously absent from this list is the United States, which will surprise many people who believe they ‘knew for sure that the United States was and is the world’s worst exploiter. Fortunately, just not true. The United States was a major force after 1900 in seeking the dismantlement of colonial countries. Today, colonialism has fallen into disfavor with the lone exception of Russia and new entrants…China. China, with its Belt and Road Initiative, is a subject we’ve talked about in the past and will be revisited again in the future. Today, let’s specifically focus on Russia. Did you know, that under President Putin’s reign (and I use reign instead of leadership quite specifically) Russia has attacked or subjugated multiple nations:

And today, the wolf is back again, looking at the biggest prize yet…the balance of Ukraine.  Why should we care?

First, we must understand the motives and endgames that Russia and Putin pursue that are distinctly different from other Western nations. Second, we need to understand how war is fought today vs. how it used to be fought. We’ll examine America’s role in the world and lastly, we’ll try and project what will be playing out on the world stage over the next few weeks, months, and years.

Understanding this puzzle with many moving pieces can be tough, there is no making this simple. Without this understanding of history, we become pawns, easily manipulated by coordinated disinformation campaigns delivering anti-American concepts that we discuss all the time. With our enemies seeking the economic and social destruction of the United States, what we see at present is a clear and present danger overlayed against a domestic society weary of wars, commitments, and distrustful of how much longer we can maintain our ‘superior’ world view.

Putin is not pursuing a classic colonial power strategy. Instead, Russia is pursuing a Stalinist or Hitler-like strategy. He seeks domination of those nations he targets to both protect the homeland, but more telling, Putin seeks to conduct asymmetric war that goes beyond having nuclear weapons and allows him to leverage the relatively small size and industrial might of Russia. Did you know that Russia has only 146 million people?  The United States at 345 million and European Union at 447 million people normally would allow little space for an ascendant Russia. Russia has developed a plan to both increase its population through the invasion of other countries and use other tools at its disposal to essentially blackmail its neighbors into quiescence. While Putin has not been known to play chess competitively, a highly placed individual once stated “But, on the chessboard of the world he is a Grand Master compared to the “casual” players who lead western democracies.” Putin is a narcissist and believes he is destined to resurrect the old Soviet Union and then confront the west. Chillingly, Putin may very well be a sociopath. Combine his iron fist control of Russia with his history of words and actions, his own view of Manifest Destiny for his dreams of a revived Russian empire and you may very well be observing the next Adolf Hitler or Joseph Stalin.

One last point on this subject. Most people don’t know/remember that Hitler and Stalin had a non-aggression pact at the beginning of the Second World War that allowed Hitler to fight a single front war against Europe. When things went badly against Hitler, Stalin turned on him and became our “ally.”  Putin is likely playing the same set of cards today, teaming up with China against the West. The United States is incapable of fighting a two-front war today against Russia and China without the use of tactical nuclear weapons. This is how dangerous these times are.

War is fought differently today. But only on the western side of the coin. Putin has no compunction against killing civilians or causing massive collateral damage. He fully embraces the classic missive that war is about killing people and breaking things. In the West, war is highly nuanced and political. Because war is dynamic, we have ‘standard’ ways of fighting that might be akin to tit for tat, what we call proportionality. This alone has kept us from winning wars for the last 75 years.

Fighting wars is anathema to civilized societies. Unfortunately, the other side takes advantage of our ‘perceived weakness’ and floods us with messaging and images that only demoralize us further and undermine our will to engage, fight and win. Putin understands that and uses Agents of Disinformation to influence our domestic communications. This extends not only to our population in general but to our political and military leaders. Once again, Wokeness (viewing everything through the prism of racial and social justice) permeates our Fortune 1000, government and the military, continuously sapping our will and confidence. Disinformation campaigns are a form of war by other means. A quiet ware that we have been fighting for a generation.  How is it possible that we could be at war for so long and virtually the entire country is unaware?  Thank our both Woke and super liberal media for being complicit in having become agents of disinformation for our enemies and anti-patriotic as never before.

I could not conclude this section without discussing why wars are inevitable. The two strongest kids on the block always fight. It’s in our DNA. We don’t necessarily fight for territorial gain, but we generally fight on principle. Russia will fight to dominate. Once the fight is underway, hopefully, our DNA should kick in and the fight will be on a more equal footing. Because we are the good guys (and we are) our inherent creativity and self-serving interests will allow, over time, for us to win wars. But, only (1.) if the gloves come off and (2.) there is sufficient time for us to ramp up. Time is vital because we don’t historically react promptly to threats of war. The other side will be ramping up (Ukraine is a great example) while we look for every off-ramp, we can find attempting to avoid conflict. Only at the last moment or when we are likely under attack will we declare a state of emergency and come together as a nation. There may not be sufficient time to react. You can be sure Putin has factored this in.

Reasons in favor of global engagement include a deep concern for what happens in the Ukraine:

I’m always amazed when I hear about some plane crash in a distant or remote country where almost always there will be Americans aboard. We are everywhere and there in every capacity. Our missionaries, business people, tourists, and government functionaries permeate the earth. American influence, from entertainment to financial, social constructs, military, political and more are willingly embraced by the majority of the world. We are investors, farmers, first responders, teachers, protectors, and more to the entire world. I bristle when I hear people make the naïve statement that we can’t or shouldn’t be the “Policemen of the World.” We are invested, both financially, politically, and socially, everywhere. Everything that happens in the world affects us to one degree or another.

One more thing to understand and process. If we retreat from world leadership, we essentially become isolationist by default. You already know that I am very mistrustful of globalism in general. You would think then that I might favor going it alone. Unfortunately, a highly industrialized society such as ours can no longer do that. You can’t be isolationists and access world markets to the degree we must. More so, there are an incredible number of commodities, components, and other things we need that are not available in abundance here. As the country moves to ever more advanced technologies like fuel cells, batteries, and wind-produced power; just to name just a few, often these items are in the hands of other countries that can and do restrict our access. These are challenges that require leadership and sometimes power projection to ensure access to strategic materials. Isolationism may preclude our country from obtaining those essential materials and denial of access to our products and services.

With over 9 million of us permanent ex-pats another 15 million regularly traveling throughout the world, how can we not be engaged? Overwhelming, we do good all over the world. American culture and values have a tremendous effect on the rest of the world. This is a story that is not told enough. We are a force for good 10-1. At the end of the Second World War, we were the lone superpower. Now, there are three with China and Russia seeking not just a seat at the table, but nothing less than changing that dynamic and seeing our country completely knocked off its perch. Do you want to see China and Russia calling the shots around the world with us relegated to a supporting role?  I hope we’re not that foolish. For better or worse, we have become the connective tissue that not only stabilizes the entire world but fends off those that have expansionist designs. Putin is cut from that same cloth, my friends. We dare not disengage from the rest of the world. Trouble and evil will eventually find us. History makes that lesson plan.

We are perennially late to the party. Because we are a benevolent and pluralistic nation, we don’t staff up a war room to come up with our next evil genius move. Putin does. Putin war games scenarios to destabilize us and to gain tactical and strategic advantage. Russians have always been among the best mathematicians in the world. Now, their cyber warriors carry out mayhem all around the world and even here. Last year Russia shut down the Colonial Pipeline in an overt ransom demand. The year before, they shut off the water supply for a small American town. There are dozens of such attacks that have as their goal, the knowledge that they can both penetrate our systems at will and cause massive disruption.

From the New York Times: “Cyberweapons have changed international relations more profoundly than any advance since the advent of the atomic bomb. In some ways, they are even more profoundly destabilizing — they are cheap, easily distributed, and can be deployed without consequences to the attacker. Dealing with their proliferation is radically changing the nature of state relations, as Israel long ago discovered and the rest of the world is now also beginning to understand.”

Another example: Russians have shot down their own satellites as a proxy for shooting down US satellites. They want to make sure they can retard our ability to communicate and can disrupt our command and control. This does not get the attention of the American people but it’s evidence of Russia settling on what tactics it will employ when and if they take us on. Nuclear is effectively off the table so newer methods of accomplishing their goals are imperative to guarantee their war aims. Is our country prepared to face these challenges? I am very worried that we are not up to the challenge. The recent emphasis on Woke military culture coupled with commanders without successful warfighting experience and whose greatest accomplishment is gaming how best to climb the military ladder are not what we need. For damn sure, we don’t need any more bureaucrats. We need doers, tacticians, and the best spearchucker’s we can muster. No more social experiments with our military men and women!

Time to prognosticate. Let me try and be Putin for a moment. I’m fixated on restoring the old Soviet Union’s Warsaw Block but not the communist form of government. I admire how Hitler unified his people and damn near pulled off capturing and holding nearly all of Europe. But he was stupid and bit off more than he could chew. Continuing with if I were Putin…. I’d make a partnership with China and divide up the world and split said world geopolitically and economically. I’d sew uncertainty, fear, and division throughout my enemy’s world. I’d field new kinds of wonder weapons that intimidate my enemies and lower their morale. I’d get in their heads and keep them two steps behind my actions. I’d support subversive elements among them, the creation of fake news, and even faker issues that would see my enemies chasing shadows. Then, when they are their most vulnerable, I’d take maximum advantage of the situation before offering an olive branch that only solidifies my gains. History teaches they’ll likely take it.

I hope that my very dark and dystopian treatise scares the heck out of you, it does me. Our recent intelligence failures, despite spending $80 billion a year, would seem to point to a systemic problem; likely poor leadership at the top and excessive political influence. I can’t tell you how far we have fallen since the storied early years of the CIA and other intelligence agencies. (We now have 16 separate intelligence services) With a divided Congress, there is a distinct lack of focus on this critical investment in our safety and security.

The country’s strategic interest is often not fully understood because to a degree, it is a moving target. Nonetheless, we must do better than we have done in the past. It is imperative but gets short shrift too often. With confidence in our intelligence services restored once again, better strategic decisions can be made and acted upon. Without good intelligence, we will continually walk through the wrong door over and over again. More importantly, we will not walk through the door that is essential to keeping faith with our people and warfighters. It is our choice and responsibility to get this right. What happens in Ukraine will be keeping a lot of people up at night for some time to come.

Fortune Favors the Bold

Fortune Favors the Bold

Hello Fellow Patriots:

People die. We die in droves every day. With Covid or without Covid, over 3 million people die each year. About half of that total die from heart disease and cancer. Half. Other medical ailments kill another 800,000. And, this was before Covid. Another 250,000 die from a variety of other causes with poisoning at about 76,000, surprisingly, the largest non-medical reason.

While we don’t know exactly how many people died of Covid vs. with Covid today; it is becoming commonly understood that there were substantially fewer people who died of heart disease and Cancer during the Covid outbreak than in previous years. Having died with Covid, everyone from some gunshot victims to people who were dying a natural death in Hospice were coded for Covid. Numbers can mean anything you want. Taken from a USA story:

“The way to compare the two is to look at (the number of deaths) over 12 months, preferably the same 12 months,” she told USA TODAY.

At the time the tweet was shared on Jan. 2, there had been 360,888 COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. in the nine months since the pandemic was declared a national emergency in mid-March 2020. The U.S. averages about 600,000 cancer deaths per year, so roughly 450,000 in a given nine-month span.

A look back at the first full year of the pandemic yields similar results. The 12 months beginning in mid-March 2020 left about 540,000 Americans dead, nearly equal to the annual average of 600,000 cancer deaths.”

You can easily see that cancer deaths were down about 10% when they should have been up. Why up? The government has widely reported that many cancer patients did not receive their normal treatment during the Covid Pandemic because they were afraid of getting infected. This should have led to excess deaths in the cancer patient community. Official numbers do not reflect this. You could easily extrapolate this to all the other causes of medical mortality where the pattern and reasons are consistent.

We are not naïve. Covid killed many people who would have otherwise lived. But the response to Covid was inappropriately targeted, vastly expensive for most of us, and depressed millions and millions of people who did not know what to believe or what was likely going to happen to them. This was unnecessary and likely led to many deaths as a result of depression, altered and ultimately unhealthy lifestyles, and more.

Immediately before Covid, our country had been on a long road into the pursuit of perfect safety. Covid magnified that concept and led our government to make pronouncements that were untrue on their face but would push people into the desired direction. Masks, social distancing, sneeze guards, constant sanitizing of exposed surfaces, lockdowns, the closing of schools, etc. was based on the false premise that you could stop the spread when you couldn’t. Many of those failed actions are still with us today, which is evidence that government institutions are slow to reverse themselves when science informs them of their folly. Here’s just one example in support: Feel good actions is the government proving they are doing something that “science supports.”

One more…. Cloth masks were known not to be effective against airborne virus transmission for a generation. That is one reason why Fauci initially advised against mask-wearing and then reversed himself later on. The government had to prove they were in control and on top of the problem. Simply making up actions that you could take to protect yourself ultimately was to mollify the population while more effective ideas and concepts were pursued.

Chapter II

I ended my last piece with an admonishment that each of us needs to make our own independent decisions on how best to protect and live with Covid and to not rely on the government to tell us how to live our lives and how to think. So, let’s talk about that a bit more.

I believe and hope that you believe that America is exceptional. But exactly why is it…exceptional? Is it because of its geolocation in the world? A particularly beneficial climate or arable soil? Is it our mineral deposits or just good old divine providence? America’s detractors will tell you it is our storied history of slavery, greed, and avarice and that America is only what it is today as a consequence of its theft of the world’s wealth and riches. I think you know better; I know that I know better, it’s our people and our system of government. At least our original system of government and its implementation and priorities.

The rest of the world has many, many hardworking people and some benevolent and good governments that mostly let people live their own lives to a point, without interference. In America, we used to admire the individual and his/her drive for success against all odds. In every generation, there have been those that have created industries, made technical breakthroughs, and otherwise enlarged the pie and created wealth out of seemingly thin air. Here are a few names from history, old and new:

  • Ben Franklin
  • Henry Ford
  • John D. Rockefeller
  • Andrew Carnegie
  • J.P. Morgan
  • George Eastman
  • Steve Jobs
  • W.K. Kellogg
  • Este Lauder
  • Bill Gates
  • Thomas Edison
  • Ray Kroc
  • Harland Sanders
  • Sam Walton
  • Aaron Montgomery Ward
  • Richard Sears
  • Levi Strauss
  • P.T. Barnum
  • Conrad Hilton
  • J.W. Marriott
  • Jeff Bezos
  • Fred W. Smith

And many more. While they all shared a plethora of common and uncommon qualities, you can boil down everything necessary required for their spectacular success into three essential elements that greatness requires:

  1. They were indefatigable promoters of their own ideas
  2. There were relentless and put their ideas, priorities, and needs above everything else
  3. Good timing

The success of their dimension required an absence of fear. Fear is what keeps all but the few from throwing caution to the wind in the promotion of their singular beliefs in the face of detractors, interim failures, and other roadblocks that we all face, but frequently never conquer.

There is no empirical data that describes how many of us possess the qualities required for greatness. One in a thousand is as good a guess as any. Let’s face it, we can’t all belong to this esteemed list of over-the-top achievers. But, there’s a secondary level of success that is nothing to sneeze at either. There are about 15 million millionaires in this country; about 12 percent of households. Some people inherit their wealth, but the majority earned it in their lifetime. Those millionaires that number in the millions earned it through thrift, building businesses, selling their ideas, or through judicious buying and selling of hard assets. In most cases, these people took a risk. Many lost, but quite a few won, simply by being stubborn and single-minded. Good timing is also essential to success.

What do we teach our children today? We tell them safety is everything. Avoid hurt and stay in an environment that nurtures and protects. “It takes a village” anyone? But, how does the real-world work? To our view, which is based on history and a comparison to other countries, risk equals reward. You won’t make bupkis living in a “safe space” and avoiding the grueling, failure-prone, and indifferent life that is the only guarantee we all receive.

When we teach safety, we teach caution. When we teach too much caution, we teach fear. How do we balance the real opportunities and consequences of life against a society that teaches “better not go down the path those white people plowed because it only leads to unfairness and inequality”? Which in turn leads to the awful lie of implied racism. The next time you are hungry, realize it is the farmer, who demands a return on his investment that ultimately decides if you eat or not. Don’t pay him and you starve. China, the Soviet Union (Russia today), and Cuba among many nations, all need what we produce. They may have sufficient arable land, but it is the profit motive that grows abundant food, not the infamous common good that too many believe should be a First Principle for all.

Greed is good. Not just a movie slogan but a reflection of why so many people work hard and innovate. There have been no successful collectivist organizations. None. They all ultimately fail, be it a Kibbutz in Israel, Venezuela with all its oil riches, or Lenin’s dreams of swamping the non-communist world with goods produced in a worker’s paradise. It never happened and never will.

Greed is to life as fear is to death. Greed creates, fear locks up the mind, body, and soul, and our dreams which sometimes makes it real. Fear is what is taught by our institutions and too many families today. We want our children to be protected and want all of them to grow and prosper, but how?

We can’t guarantee them happiness any more than we can conjure up a genie. You can give your children money and things, provide safe spaces, but can’t give them what it takes to be independent and exceptional. Only through an early inculcation in trying and failing and then getting back on the horse can you learn how to become successful. No magic wand, no wishing, no wanting, no indulgence, and no material gift will ameliorate a poor grounding that only a stable, intact family that encourages our children to risk, fall, and sometimes fail can provide.

The government, some houses of worship, our schools, and yes, our parents have failed too many of our youth. Too many Deltas roam our country today (read Brave New World) and who will never know the pure ecstatic joy of being successful. By overprotecting our children, many have been permanently hobbled. By loving our children without requiring requisite responsibility and effort our children will achieve less than they otherwise would. Being a parent is hard. All the more so because we don’t want our children to be in pain or feel they are not as good as the next person. One of the chief lessons of life is that life is not fair or unfair; it is agnostic.

Prepare your child for a life of exploration, triumph, and sometimes failure. This is the logic of life that cannot be changed no matter what we might like to believe. Nature always triumphs. Teach your child that greed is good when in pursuit of an avocation and charity is good at other times. Teach your child that failure is a friend because it teaches us what to do the next time around. Throw away all those self-help books that teach you that life is situational or that you can keep your child from pain and failure. They are worse than useless drivel, these thoughts, ideas, and admonitions have destroyed a generation.

Finally, get the government off the backs of the people. We have spent trillions on feel-good programs that have, as its greatest accomplishment, the employments of hundreds of thousands of government drones, employees who produce nothing, consume everything and reduce our productive and personal potential. The federal government is too focused on and about power. Our Founders understood that and tried to warn us about it, fought against the accumulation of Federal powers, and tried hard to instill an ethical and righteous God-inspired government that was to be free of individual religious prejudice, not God itself.

How we vote, what we demand of government, and whether we raise our voices when we see wrong, go a long way towards fighting the tendency of government to overreach. That’s at the Federal level. Always keep in mind that you individually are supposed to be supreme at the local government level, be it county, city, or state. Don’t let those in the office run wild as has happened in so many places. Our country was created with an overarching belief in individualism vs. collectivism. Your involvement in local affairs is an important restraint to those in government who by trying to be everything, take everything.

Today, everything hinges on the future of our children. What kind of adults will they be? Will they be fearless, critical-thinking leaders or extensions of Woke political thought? We need anti-frail children to grow into the next towering presence to add to the list I created at the top. Teach the obvious, that no one is responsible for yourself except yourself. All the promises, guarantees, and safety nets will come to naught when the chips are down. Self-Reliance should be everyone’s mantra.

I am The Science

I Am the Science

Hello Fellow Patriots:

In November of last year, Dr. Fauci made the guaranteed lighting rod statement “I am the Science.” The complete statement reads even worse:

“So if you are trying to get at me as a public health official and a scientist, you are really attacking not only Dr. Anthony Fauci – you are attacking science,”

Let’s step back a bit. As I am writing this, it’s 6:30 in the morning and still dark outside. Just over a week ago, I got my “booster” shot and suffered for almost a week with every known malady you can get from taking these damn shots. I won’t call them vaccines because these are something else; genetically modified mRNA.

How it works: mRNA or messenger RNA may be labeled as the newest vaccine in town, which is a stretch as far as I am concerned, but as we have previously reported, the technology surrounding it is not entirely unknown, as mRNA research has been in the works since the 90s. This type of vaccine injects instructions, via a piece of genetic code, that tells your body how to make a certain protein essential to blocking the virus. “The mRNA vaccines instruct our cells to recognize COVID-19 and produce a harmless “spike” protein,”. These proteins train your immune system to recognize the virus and make antibodies to attack that virus if it arrives in your body. The instructions quickly vanish, but your immune system stays fortified.

It is important to keep in mind that this technology has been under study for decades but this is the first use of the technology according to John Hopkins. The novelty of “first use” is/was my first warning flag that we simply don’t know nearly enough about the efficacy and long-term effects of this shot.

So why did I take it last year and again in 2022? Logic. I’m 65 years old and have multiple comorbidities. If I was 20 years younger, I would likely not have taken the shot. Assume for a second that Covid is the flu, but something more like swine flu, only worse. Here is a list of the worst flu outbreaks in the United States in the last 100 or so years and the resultant number of deaths:

  • 1918 Spanish Flu outbreak killed at least 675,000
  • 1957 Avian flu outbreak killed at least 116,000
  • 1968 Hong Kong flu outbreak killed at least 100,000

This would seem to pale in comparison to the often stated figure of over 800,000 dead in the U.S. from Covid. But, is that a true number? As each day goes by, it seems more and more likely that the numbers quoted are not accurate. Specifically, the numbers are now generally understood to mean, dying with Covid vs. dying of Covid. Whatever politics you subscribe to will influence how you digest this statement. Whatever the real number is, whether it is the CDC numbers or some fraction thereof, a lot of people died and will continue to die of Covid. Something else to understand. We are a nation of 340 million. The population in 1918 was 103 million. In 1957 our population was 175 million. Covid is not the worst flu the United States has ever seen per capita. It is, however, unquestionably the most reported.

What has not been widely discussed so far is how Dr. Fauci’s strategy of fighting the disease has played out. Fauci was and is the single most important individual that decided how we were going to fight the disease. It was and still is the policy of this country to eradicate the disease by “Stopping the spread” as President Biden frequently states. This was true under President Trump as well.

I predict that when this is all over and Covid-19 has become endemic (which it likely is today) that the strategy undertaken by U.S. officials will not only come under fire but will be proven to have been an abject failure that destroyed lives and treasure and might ultimately lead to a realignment of world power. It is beyond the scope of today’s missive to discuss China’s role in all of this, but we must take note of the forces unleashed by this virus and the world changes that have resulted, and the virus effects that will likely continue into 2024 and beyond.

What was the central failing of our strategy? A belief that we could stop what amounted to the common cold on steroids. With Omicron, the latest variant of the base virus we are seeing even greater spread than before. While less deadly, Omicron lays bare the rubric that by taking the Covid Vaccine we can stop Covid as widely promised by Fauci. When it became obvious that Covid shots could not stop the spread, the message changed to: “Their effectiveness is measured by how well they protect people against moderate to severe COVID-19 disease—not how well they prevent infection or spread of the COVID-19 virus itself.” Interestingly, I scoured the internet to find an earlier statement by the government that categorically states that the vaccine will protect you from infection. Very hard to do. The internet is being scrubbed! Here’s one statement I found: “Some recent studies have shown similar peak viral loads in vaccinated people compared to unvaccinated people who contract COVID. This has raised concerns for the efficacy of vaccines for preventing transmission.” Unstated, scientific conclusions are steadily moving to what’s next since the spread of the disease seems unstoppable.

What should we do? Science lays an almost exclusive claim to logic. Specifically, Fauci’s statements continue to involve and have become more and more political. I wish to state to our readers that there will be no endpoint with Covid. Consider Covid a warning on two levels:

  1. There will be more Covid like diseases in the future and the next one might be much more dangerous
  2. The lack of effective national planning to fight this disease is unconscionable.

The United States spends hundreds of millions of dollars each year funding numerous labs, universities, and other scientific endeavors against just what has happened here. No one I have heard has said “what the hell happened?” Why were we so unprepared on so many levels for a world pandemic? Where was the system of tripwires that would inform us to pull out the three-ring binder and start executing a well-thought-out and rehearsed strategy for dealing with this? Not only was this foreseeable, but it was also expected. Not only were we late to the party, our strategy of mitigation utterly failed. In this failure, people died who should not have and our economy suffered grievous damage that will be felt for a generation and beyond. The lack of a cohesive plan led to our children (especially minorities) losing two years of education and the likelihood of a lifetime of consequences. How did we have failed so spectacularly?

Remember it was Beauty who killed the Beast in the original King Kong? Well, it’s now Science that killed the country. How could we have approached this disease differently is the obvious question? I am not a scientist, I consider myself to be more of a logician. The first step would be to identify the risk. Having studied cases of flu-like this for a generation, we should have been able to understand which population groups were at risk early with Covid. Instead, we chose a one size fits all approach and did not protect our elderly were more than 75% of deaths occurred. When the records have been revised, we may find that figure rise to 80% to 85% of actual deaths. Quarantine procedures have been understood for more than a hundred years. How did we fail our elderly so completely? By putting Covid positive individuals back in nursing homes as Governor Cuomo did? By splitting resources so that there was not enough PPE in places that needed it the most?

In my view, the worst atrocity to date was the abdication of leadership by those ultimately responsible. Blame President Trump or Biden, that you may, science has demonstrated a poor track record of getting results without the leadership of the civilian authority. Fauci has become a scapegoat for what has gone wrong and he has been all too willing to live in the limelight and claim sovereignty in his area. Many smart people in this country identified problems with our strategy early. Their voices were frequently drowned out by Fauci’s acolytes and their ability to create alternative strategies which were severely constrained by the fact that Fauci did not fund anything except ideas and people that he supported. There was and is a lack of diversity of opinion on how best to react to this Covid and future threats.

Imagine for a moment that our tripwires worked and we knew what was coming. What should have been the first steps to buy us time while we marshaled our resources? We would have pulled out our proverbial three-ring binder and executed a standardized plan.

  1. As soon as we saw what was happening overseas, you close your borders. Not to a particular country, but to everyone for a limited amount of time until you understand the threat. This includes the southern border as well. Airtight.
  2. You activate your containment and tracing plan. Each infection is attacked in a military-like way to ensure initial contagion is stopped cold in its tracks. It can be done, it must be done on day zero. Once it gets away from you, containment is no longer possible.
  3. Understand the specific threat and tailor your response to it.
  4. Invite the widest possible scientific audience to provide mitigation and other response concepts
  5. Have civilian oversight (non-science) to rationalize what is found out.
  6. Communicate honest information to the public. They must not feel they are being fed pablum and misinformation. Acknowledge mistakes.
  7. Execute the plan
  8. Continually revise the plan

If this seems to be an oversimplification; it likely is. But too many people believe the Covid response was politicized because it was. Diseases are not democratic. They strike at targets of opportunity with no regard to politics. Also, as our knowledge evolved, our response lagged our understanding. The United States demonstrated its ability to react by producing more than 200,000 ventilators that went largely unused after we found out we were killing the majority of people put on them by over-pressuring their lungs. Today, few patients are being put on ventilators as a consequence of primary Covid infection. First, we were told that masks were useless, then they were essential. Next, we were told any mask would do and today the President has stated that free N-95 masks will be shipped to everyone and that cloth masks don’t really work. The word “cosmetic” comes to mind.

Cosmetic underlies too much of our Covid response. How many hundreds of millions were spent on plexiglass shields that do nothing? How about telling everyone to disinfect surfaces lest you touch Covid on a countertop and get infected? Never happened. “Justice Sotomayor Falsely Claims 100,000 Children in ‘Serious Condition’ from Covid. Why do people say things like that? She knew better. Kids were never seriously at risk, yet we trashed them and their futures for politics. People are needlessly dying on the altar of partisanship.

Here is the one immutable truth of Covid. It needs a new human host to jump to or it ends. Period. We would have been much better served to try to figure out how to stop that jump, which was doable when the number infected could be counted in the dozens, hundreds, or even low thousands. This was a test of leadership that we failed spectacularly. We must learn from our mistakes or the next genetically engineered virus-like Covid-19 was could be much more Ebola-like and virulent costing lives in our country in the millions and the future of our country as a whole could come into question. This was a true wake-up call. We learn from our mistakes or we retrace the path that Fauci plowed. “I am the Science” scares me more than the virus itself. I hope it does you.

Our final takeaway today is that the last line of defense for myself and hopefully you is that while the government informs us, it is up to you and me to evaluate that information available and then make our own judgments, decisions, and actions. No one can supplant your judgment based on your individual circumstances and analysis. To act in any other manner is to turn your life over to the government with one mandate after another governing your life. And, that ladies and gentlemen are something I will never do.

Reality Is Not Democratic

Reality Is Not Democratic

Hello Fellow Patriots:

I hope each of you enjoyed your holidays and that all of us have a better 2022 than we did in 2021. I had the opportunity to read a book over the holidays entitled…” A Hunter-Gatherer’s Guide to the 21st Century: Evolution and the Challenges of Modern Life by Heather Heying and Bret Weinstein, both married to each other and both Doctors of Evolutionary Biology.

This is an unusual book. You can read it several times and still have difficulty taking in all the thoughts and conclusions resident in the book. It reads life the life’s work that it is for the two authors. There is no one essential takeaway. They start with basic biology and workup to how evolution selects traits that enable any organism to grow and prosper with the occasional dead end. What I took away in reading this book is that nothing is by accident and we learn our lessons or very often go down alleys that lead only to despair and failure. Also, that we change classic societal values at our own peril.

Several chapters discuss everything from parenting to sex to families and education among other chapters. What you understand fairly quickly is that the choices we make lead directly to consequences. Often good, but just as often, not so good. As a species, we are much more closely aligned with nature than we may think. Nature, not our wishes or desires holds sway every time. And, even if we temporarily seem to have the upper hand, nature is waiting in the wings to correct our course.

The concept of Adaptation is central to life. That does not mean that all Adaptations are good ones, but change we must. The authors use the concepts of Culture and Consciousness. Where Culture is the adaptation that we, as humans depart from our genetic programming and Consciousness are the thoughts that we can transmit to others. The last principle I’d like to mention is First Principles, the most fundamental and secure assumptions we can and should rely on. First Principles is the bedrock from which all other decisions are made.

One more takeaway from this book is the concept of Chesterton’s Fence. The idea that reforms should not be made to a system until the reasoning behind its current state is fully understood. To make this more understandable. When you come upon a gate on a road, ask yourself why is it there? Maybe there is danger beyond, maybe not. But you must ask yourself the question, is it wise to pass that gate? Life is structured as a series of gates. The rational individual must weigh the consequences of departing from the norm. Too often today, we act, willy-nilly with little thought to consequences. And, life, real-life exacts a toll, sometimes severe from departing from norms. We don’t always see it, but it’s always there just waiting to hit us in the face if we jump the wrong gate.

I was driving into work this morning and listening to the local radio announcer playing a clip from a crazy woman at a university who was screaming her view of why all white people are racists and predators. Never once did the individual consider that what she was stating actually made her a racist of the first order. We are not blind to this kind of behavior. Unfortunately, too many of us are struck deaf and dumb when we hear such tripe simply because we are either fearful of the pushback or just simply believe this is not relevant to our life and stay silent. Let me promise you, you can’t hide from these cannibals of our culture, they will come for everyone eventually.

Our title today is that Reality is not Democratic. You can’t wish something to be true that isn’t. You can’t implement a vision of life that is not fundamentally true. In essence, life is math-based. You already know our credo…1Plus1Equals2.  No amount of yelling, believing, cajoling, or wishing can change the essential reality of life. Yet, there are tens of millions of children and adults that believe what you believe is superior to the absolute truism of life. That speech is violence, that uneven outcomes constitute racism. That boys can be girls and girls can be boys. It is not so and no amount of chest pounding will make it otherwise.

Social Media is the crack cocaine of our times. And there are actual victims that can be counted. People die every day from social media. I reviewed several websites that claimed that hundreds of people’s deaths can be directly related to social media. Social Media reaches into a multiverse of people’s lives.

    1. Teen suicide, especially young women who can’t keep up with the crowd. Or, at least they perceive the overhyped claims of other social media posters and influencers.

    2. Riots. Hundreds of people have died in the last several years who were attracted to act out their worst demons to loot, destroy, burn and murder all across America.

    3. Situational ethics. Social media espouses a life that is not real. Yet, millions of us attempt to emulate that which does not exist. Stress to keep up with an altogether fallacious existence abounds leading to predictable bad outcomes.

    4. Business. Productivity in American business is compromised by the theft of time spent by employees who spend hours each week on social media instead of doing their job. Some years ago, I requested and received a breakdown of time spent on certain social media sites within my own county. Approximately 20% of the total traffic from our county was to several well-known social media sites. I suggested blocking those IP addresses but the draw was so powerful, there was no support for blocking those sites.

    5. Health. There used to be about a million MDs in the United States. Today, there are better than a hundred million. How did that happen? Why do we see so many ads for medicines and treatments on TV and in print for ailments that we never knew we had? Today, many of us are our own doctors, essentially prescribing various cures, remedies, and drugs for our self-diagnosed afflictions. Which of course are wrong, the vast majority of the time.

    6. Politics. There is no end to the number of curated sites that abound for whatever belief you have. From pacifist to activist to doomsday, just tune in to your favorite website, podcast and you’ll be comforted that your own personal belief is correct and everyone else’s is wrong.

We could go on, but you already understand that social media has had a profound effect on us. That leads us to the next layer of the onion. Who controls what we see, hear and believe? As bad as individual sites can be, that danger pales in comparison to the wizards behind the curtain that skew what you can see in order to achieve this or that effect. Want more eyeballs glued to the screen? Just cater to those demographics interests and beliefs and you are there. Want more people buying your product? Hire an influencer to pedal whatever it is that you are selling and watch those automatons go out and buy whatever you are selling that is now a must-have item. Conformity through brainwashing.

What’s the worst thing social media could accomplish if the puppet masters behind the curtain wanted to?

    • Destabilize a country?

    • Destroy family structure?

    • Change a society’s value system?

    • Incite violence and crime?

    • Lead a country into Marxism?

With the aid and support/acquiesce of big business and government, all this is possible and more. I don’t believe that Zuckerberg started out with any of this in mind. Heck, he was a horny teenager who just created the first successful social media site to rate the “hotness” of chicks! Later it be renamed Facebook.

Somewhere along the line, probably without malice or intent, Zuckerberg figured out that a successful algorithm to be successful needed to keep eyeballs looking at screens. This then led us down the path to the societal evil that social media has largely become.

At its core, social media is an alternate reality that has tentacles everywhere. In gaming, dating, business, politics, commerce, medicine, and myriad other spheres of influence, social media is replacing traditional methods of expression, social contact and so many other traditional ways of living that we no longer recognize our authentic selves. And, that’s the problem. We are becoming inauthentic versions of who we can be, should be. At least as adults, we remember what it used to be like to live and interact. God help the under 30 crowd who thinks and lives like social media is real and must be believed. What future does it hold for those that believe that life is like the Matrix except you don’t have to swallow a Red pill to be included!

So perhaps we should modify our title a bit from “Life is not Democratic” to “Life is What You Believe?” Most adults understand the absurdity of the last statement. The young (and more than a few adults) believe that life is an arbitrary construct that can be molded to fit one’s perception of reality. What allows for this view is the constant hyping of pop culture, liberal policies, companies that know better but adopt crazy nihilistic rhetoric to make money, and government that lacks a moral compass and empowers and protects actions that will ultimately slit the throats of those that participate in this ultimately suicidal conduct. Society can’t exist forever when we attempt to suspend the physics of life that are just as tightly bound in logic as the physical laws. We have created a generation of frail individuals. Nature is anti-frail. The frail will perish over time. Here are some modern-day concepts that have been turned on their heads through the efforts or consequences of social media.

    1. You need not work; you are entitled to a share of societal wealth. You are entitled to everything society can offer, i.e., food, medical care, education, housing, and entertainment without producing anything

    2. Equal outcomes should be available regardless of our abilities or desire to strive

    3. That what I believe is equal to what you believe because everything in life is situational

    4. Life is not fair and therefore government must adjust our lives to make things just for all

    5. Enjoying life, i.e. pleasure is more important than the traditional requirements of raising a family, earning a living, or sacrificing in general

Folks! We have arrived at our destination. We have pseudo anarchy ever-present in our daily lives. What’s startling to me is the lack of pushback against what is fantasy. False focus on greed, envy, and popular culture that is bereft of useful value in favor of a version of society high on itself for no good reason just boggle my mind. What will stop this craziness? Maybe another, major war or some kind of mass die-off of those that simply exist in the real world anymore. One of my friends thinks even hunger would not change the mindset of most who are deeply indisposed to logic and reason.

In the natural world, nature abhors a vacuum and/or genetic dead ends. Nature strives to gradually introduce adaptations that work and cut off those that don’t make biological sense. We are witnessing a major turn in evolutionary biology. The weak will not make it long-term. Their progeny will not become stronger, only weaker. The Chinese understand this. Russia understands this, conservatives suspect it but don’t quite get it yet. We need to understand that freedom also entails responsibility. Largely, responsibility is what is missing in the current mix and is inherently juxtaposed against the basic thesis of social media; which is largely about self-aggrandizement.

Tolerance for variations in human conduct is good to a point. When they become self-destructive it inevitably leads to the conclusion that Life is not Democratic. It favors, what makes sense. We are not seeing individuals going through phases, we are seeing a change in who we are. The future is much more uncertain than it should be. And, our enemies are depending on it continuing.

That One Magnificent Difference Between America and All Other Countries

That One Magnificent Difference Between America and All Other Countries

Hello Fellow Patriots:

“The rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.”  John F. Kennedy

Jefferson and the other Founding Fathers largely borrowed the concept of God-given human rights from seventeenth-century philosopher John Locke, who got the idea from the Bible”

You can’t discuss the above two quotes without crossing over into the great debate today that tout’s a secular interpretation as a necessary adjunct to any discussion of government power. Secularism is directly opposed to the understanding of what Jefferson, Kennedy, and millions of others not only believe but what is central to an understanding of the limits of government power. At no time in our history has this distinction been as important as it is today. I see a gathering storm between those who believe in God vs. the godless hoards completely hostile to the very concept of an all-powerful Creator and individual rights. Today we’ll discuss the link between government power and the conscious actions our government has taken to usurp those God-given rights. Readers, please believe me when I say, this is a fight that cannot be avoided or won without great cost. Understand that your rights are not only under attack but that the lengths the government is willing to go to enforce their power have no bounds.

First, why would the government subvert its own founding principles? It’s not simply an accident, there’s a real cost to attempting this kind of monumental change. Yet, the government is pursuing such change every month, and each year, a coordinated attempt to rearrange what is clearly articulated in the Declaration of Independence and codified in our Constitution. I see two possible reasons:

  1. There are those in government, academia, large companies, and certain political groups who believe that our systems are old, out of date, and no longer relevant. They see a different world run by a new intelligentsia that believes in their eminent superiority over the rest of us. They see resources wasted and inequality that they plan to stamp out; as long as they’re in control. Ultimately, these are the people that see themselves as morally and/or intellectually superior.
  2. Then, there is the darker group that comes at this with a singular focus on power. The power to control you and those that might be an impediment to their designs for greater and greater power. These individuals around the world are the anti-Christ of liberty. China clearly leads in this respect. Americans are woefully uneducated on the lack of personal freedom in China and their ability to “disappear you” if it is in their interest, or, sell your very organs for profit if they desire, force the abortion of your baby if they so choose. And, so much more. Too many influencers in our country are aligned with these evil people.

Still not a believer? Next, let’s examine just how far the government has gone to stamp out what they perceive is a direct assault on the government’s supremacy.

Here are four quotes of many concerning the so-called “armed rebellion” of January 6th you can easily find on the internet:

“People charged in the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol are “political prisoners” and “non-violent trespassers” who have been held in solitary confinement for the past six months.”

“Pezzola (a January 6th protester) was ordered to be detained without bail pending his trial, U.S. Magistrate Judge Robin Meriweather ruled Wednesday. Meriweather determined Pezzola if released, would potentially engage in future activities against the Capitol or other buildings.”

“Those arrested on January 6th are being held in solitary confinement, without bail despite not being flight risks, and being denied access to evidence. Does this make them political prisoners?”

“President Biden is being ripped for calling the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol the “worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.”

Think this is just mild hyperbole or they (the Capital Protesters) are getting what they deserve? Search the Internet and you will endlessly find similar references equal to the above statements. Here’s a question:

How many riots occurred in the preceding year? Let’s use the following article as an interesting set of data points:

“WASHINGTON: Contrary to corporate media narratives, up to 95 percent of this summer’s riots are linked to Black Lives Matter activism, according to data collected by the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED). The data also show that nearly 6 percent — or more than 1 in 20 — of U.S. protests between May 26 and Sept. 5 involved rioting, looting, and similar violence, including 47 fatalities.”

ACLED is a nonprofit organization that tracks conflict across the globe. Its U.S. project that collected the summer protest data is supported by Princeton University. The project’s spreadsheet collating tens of thousands of data points documents 12,045 incidents of U.S. civil unrest from May 26, 2020, to Sept. 5, 2020. May 26 is the day after George Floyd’s death in police custody with enough fentanyl in his system to have died of an overdose if police had never touched him.

Of the 633 incidents coded as riots, 88 percent are recorded as involving Black Lives Matter activists. Data for 51 incidents lack information about the perpetrators’ identities. BLM activists were involved in 95 percent of the riots for which there is information about the perpetrators’ affiliation.”

47 dead. Let that sink in. What happened to George Floyd was wrong. However, how many are in jail or being treated in a similar fashion as those arrested for essentially just trespassing and now being held in a special wing of the DC jail? The answer is none. Why such a distinction in punishment?

What’s the difference? Remember some of those other rioters who were intent on burning down courthouses, police stations, occupying buildings, or otherwise interrupting normal government function were met with restraint and in most cases, left to wild away in comparative freedom. Where’s the national discussion of the government not stepping in to save the lives of those killed by looters and rioters and the over one billion dollars in property? How many lives and businesses were destroyed by the government allowing and encouraging this kind of behavior? Where’s the outrage, where’s the national debate? There is none. Why isn’t BLM considered a terrorist group? Not even any discussion.

Here’s the instant question we need to answer. Why are the January 6th protesters being treated as terrorists with a suspension of their fundamental rights to be treated humanely, to not undergo torture at the hands of their captors, and even denied not only bail but an enumeration of the charges being proffered against them in several cases? They have become American political prisoners to make a point.

That point? Don’t threaten the political structure or you will be utterly and completely destroyed. Those certain “Unalienable Rights” are not so inviolate as we suppose as we can see in real life. Who is crying out against this injustice? Virtually no one that I know. Dem’s love being able to literally beat the snot out of their enemies as an example to anyone who doubts their power and willingness to use it. Trump found that out very fast. Republicans have been cowed by the political narrative that surrounds the January 6th unscheduled tour of the capital. It was wrong, but not on the scale of the looters and terrorists of the left and BLM. It’s not even close.

To this very day, the lie of the armed insurrection is widely disseminated and believed in contravention of the facts. In fact, only the police were armed, and the only one who died from gunfire was a female veteran who was shot to death as a nervous police officer shot through a door and killed her. Were there any looters or vandals? Yes, maybe 10 out of about 500. The FBI has expended outsized resources tracking down the 500 from all over the country, frequently arresting them at gunpoint to ensure all of us are terrorized by the actual power of the government.

For the record; breaking in or being let into the Capital outside of normal visiting hours was stupid and ultimately meaningless. However, the way the government reacted is/was unconscionable. Justifying their actions by comparing the January 6th incident to be worse than the American Civil War is not just hyperbole, it is a further rewriting of history that works well on all those that either don’t know their facts or worse, realize the American government having unsheathed its sword, was not willing to place it back in its scabbard until it tasted blood. We fear our government today to a degree that I cannot recall.

What happened that day, up to and including the present is a warning that we can no longer presume to believe that we have those unalienable rights to protect us to the degree we once relied on.

What’s next? Three things:

  1. Will the courts ultimately condone the behavior of the government over the last two years?
  2. When Republicans ultimately regain control of the House and Senate will additional laws be written and approved that codify remedies to the abuses we have seen?
  3. Will we see a national discussion on the assault on our country and demand the election of Americans that understand our history and value our distinctness?

Friends, there is another principal at the bar here. Read how our Founding Fathers were so worried we’d see the Federal government become supreme rather than the States as intended. I love the following quote:

“The government was never seen by the Founders as a provider of anything but very generalized common security. Laws were seen as more important than men. At best, the government was seen as a necessary evil to allow for the continued functioning of a peaceful society. Those who sought power through the government, rather than seeking to serve their countrymen, were implicitly distrusted.”

And this one:

“According to James Madison, a committed federalist, the Constitution maintains the sovereignty of states by enumerating very few express powers to the federal government, while “[t]hose which is to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.”

How far we have strayed from the near-perfection of our Constitution. Yet, even as flawed as our country is today, there are magnificent vestiges of our former common ancestry and understanding. There is no better place in the world than the United States. Its ability to absorb the abuse thrust upon it is amazing to behold. But it’s not without limits. Like a milk cow with too many feeding off of her, we are seeing large cracks and fissures develop that are loading up our Republic. A collapse could happen suddenly and with little warning, due in part to the way our country was created and run, relying on a relatively small minority of people who hold things together on a day-to-day basis. Be wary of putting too many burdens on the Producers, lest they decide it is no longer worth it. (As in Atlas Shrugged) Always, always, remember that the government cannot give you something that they have not taken away from someone else first. And, it may only be a question of time before they come knocking on your door!

Please keep that in mind.

God Bless America and Happy New Year.

Freewill, Education and Lawlessness

Freewill, Education and Lawlessness

Hello Fellow Patriots:

As this was written, news of another senseless shooting of three Texas Deputies rings deafly in my ears.  We are on track to see one LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) killed each week this year. A violent and insane trend has developed over the last several years that must stop now. LEO’s are our soldiers  standing on the ramparts of some medieval fort, guaranteeing the safety of those that rest inside knowing they are protected that night by someone who says “Sleep Well, my friends, I’ll stand guard  against those that might seek to do you harm.” The Rule of Law is a concept. The Officers, Deputies, and others who serve are the teeth that give weight to the promise of a law-abiding society. This promise,  this construct, this way of life has held together generation after generation throughout the civilized world, ensuring we continue to be a lawful country. Until now.

It goes without saying for any casual observer of the news, politics, or even just watching local events that there is a severe strain on this fundamental assurance that we have taken for granted, generation after generation. While some blame law enforcement itself (not without some issues), the social contract, so inviolate, for so long, is under severe stress. Today, let’s talk about how this happened and what we can do about it.

Life is simple. People are way too ready to jump to the standard refrain that life is complicated and therefore fixing things is difficult. It’s been said that nothing fixates the mind like the imminent prospect of death. You know, your life flashes before your eyes and you see things so clearly? It’s the same way with this subject.

Here’s another Power Statement:

The Lack of Respect we Show Each Other Starts with Lacking Respect for Self

While there are evil people; most people who do wrong, sometimes committing evil acts, are not necessarily themselves evil. People fall into bad situations when other, better opportunities don’t present themselves at the right time. Think about it for a moment. Faced with robbing a bank or accepting a good job with good pay and benefits, how many of us would say, robbing a bank sound like the better choice? An oversimplification? Perhaps, but the concept is entirely valid.

I was toying with a shock title for this piece like “Should those that steal a child’s education be hanged?”  Thought I might lose too many readers with a title like that. Yet, if I could identify a single person, at a  particular cross-section of time that destroyed your child’s chances to enjoy a successful life, it would be my pleasure to stop that person by any means possible. Because I believe anyone, any group and or any thought process that has as its aim to destroy a child’s chance to prosper and succeed in life is an adherent of genocide. That, readers, is the definition of evil.

I don’t know if I used this in another blog but I was at a Subway a couple of weeks ago and asked the guy to cut my sandwich in thirds. He was clueless and looked pained like he knew he should know the answer to my request but could not string the dots together. Someone told him how to cut it twice and the sandwich was wrapped and eaten vigorously. A person I knew from work had never heard about balancing a checkbook. Another who lived in the state capital did not know the name of the said state capital. Each of you has its own story to tell that makes my point.

Dateline: “Chinese Students Excel in Critical Thinking, Math and Science—NYT 10-21

Dateline: “In 2017, the United States spent $14,100 per full-time-equivalent (FTE) student on elementary and secondary education, which was 37 percent higher than the average of Organization for  Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member countries of $10,300 (in constant 2019 U.S.  dollars). At the postsecondary level, the United States spent $34,500 per FTE student, which was 102  percent higher than the average of OECD countries ($17,100).

The US spends more on education than any other large country, but students lag academically. › programs › coe › indicator_cmd.asp

Teaching children to learn important topics and to train their minds is not difficult. Too many other countries do it. Why can’t we? At this point, the question is not if we have failed our children, but who or what are to blame? Notice I did not add, ‘and what to do about it.’ The answer is almost obvious. It’s not hard to impart knowledge, discipline, wisdom and to create a thirst for ambition. Our current system is designed to destroy, not nurture most of what is good. It is the intention of someone, some group at some level that percolates down to the individual schoolroom and teacher. Mediocrity is the goal. That was what Common Core is all about.

In my Unconventional Warfare Book, I talk about the pivotal moment when we moved from Arithmetic to  New Math in public schools.

“In 1966, I took my last Arithmetic class and was welcomed into the theory of New Math. The big difference was no more long-form memorization and working problems out in a static manner. Instead,  theory became as important, or more important than actually being able to (understand and execute)  math problems. had this to say on the subject: “Before the results could even be measured, new math became a near religion, complete with its own high priests and heresies. Chief among the hierophants were the University of Illinois’s Max Beberman and Stanford’s Edward Begle. Together with mathematicians and educators at universities in New York, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and  Maryland, they took aim at the mindless rigidity of traditional mathematics. They argued that math could be exciting if it showed children the ways of solving rather than just the how’s. Memorization and rote were wrong. Discovery, deduction, and limited drill were the best routes to arithmetical mastery.”

Except these new High Priests were not just interested in teaching Math, they were interested in changing the world. Perhaps they were not just simply wrong, but were instead, intending to introduce a  new societal imperative…Equalization of Result. 1966 was a tumultuous year. Support for the Viet Nam war turned negative for the first time. The Church of Satan is the first (of many) nontraditional churches to be recognized by the IRS. Martin Luther King holds his first “Freedom Rally” in Chicago. Charles  Whitman kills 16 students at the University of Texas and becomes our first mass shooter. Lansing Michigan witnesses one of the first Race Riots ever.

The House Un-American Activities Committee begins investigations of Americans who have aided the Viet Cong. U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson,  responding to a Charles Whitman evil act writes a letter to United States Congress urging the enactment of gun control legislation. The Black Panther Party is created by Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale. It was a tumultuous year and the turning point for those that wanted a different America than existed at the time.

A year of pontificating turned into action. New Math was one of their tools to rewrite the rules for  America. It was just the beginning. “Now, almost fifty years later, we are hearing the same lament about our mathematical skills and the same call for educational mobilization. Why? Where did New  Math go? And what happened to all those schoolchildren ready to experience, as one writer called it,  “the wonder of why”? Today, we know what the “big picture” really is.

What we described as Equalization of Results, morphed into simply Equity.

Freedom requires an individualist mentality as much as we need air and water to survive. And, Free Will can only be obtained by an educated individual. An educated individual must have Free Will and an ability to think through concepts and non-linear concepts and observations. To be free, you have to understand what freedom is. Perspective is gleaned by understanding the ground you stand upon and its interrelationships with the rest of the world, near and far. Today, too often one’s understanding of the world is limited to a much smaller perspective…the Hood.

As in “Lord of the Flies”, the 1954 novel by  William Golding, the boys on that lost island understood little except what was necessary for their everyday survival. Where to get water, food, shelter, and belonging to the tribe were the complete and total realization of their everyday life. And so, it is wherever you live, be it in a gang, tribe, religious group, or part of something bigger than yourself, your life’s experiences and strikingly, your lack of experiences and world view defines you and shrink your opportunities instead of enlarging them.

A good education is a way out of poverty. Education is the magic elixir that lets you see opportunities for what they are and assists you in walking through the right doors. Education was the great equalizer that grew some of our greatest and brightest minds. Doctors, statesmen, military men, thinkers,  philosophers, industrialists, and even peacemakers. Dumb people don’t enlarge the pie or our society.  Let there be no misunderstanding of that concept and truism. Education leads to peaceable citizens. I  can’t over-emphasize the importance of that statement.

Those that steal opportunities from children are the worst kind of thieves. They are adherents of a hell-bent genocidal coven that must be fought, kept at bay, and triumphed over. Who will lead this charge?  It won’t be politicians, school board members, unions, and rank and file teachers. Their time has come and gone. They traded the gold that was the children entrusted to them for temporary or false gain.

Heard about California teachers demanding a 30-hour, four-day week with children learning from home on Fridays? No, now it is up to the citizenry itself, particularly parents to demand the education we all pay for and to stand against those audaciously accusing them of being domestic terrorists. Demand that your child be classically educated, free of social justice shenanigans and other lies. Parents must teach morals, ambition, and Godliness. Step up to the plate and do your duty.

Schools long used as dumping grounds for the masses must change overnight and with due regard to their real purpose. To teach reading, writing, arithmetic, critical thinking (not CRT), and the primary lessons of life, i.e., nothing of value is free and nothing is owed to anyone except an expectation for a fair start. Teach the hardest lesson of all…that life is neither fair nor against you. You get out what you put in. No government can give you something unless they take it away from someone else. That’s the life of a thief. Is that what you want? Is that what we want to aspire to?

Don’t rob children of that fair start by handicapping them by the very act of walking through those school doors each day. Some schools are irredeemable. For those situations, children must leave and take their education dollars with them. Some parents are also irredeemable, whether they are drug-addled, career criminals or so self-involved as to be incapable of parenting. For them, separation is the obvious consequence. But, at every juncture, the needs of the child must be paramount.

When someone chooses to have a child, they surrender much of their free will to act as if they are not parents.  They made a bargain with God and Society to be responsible for their children. Everything else is secondary until they successfully leave home. That is life. I write a dark passage for those that forget that inviolate lesson by putting themselves ahead of their charges.

Stay tuned and always, always, aspire to be a Patriot. Ask yourself, what is it that you did this day, week,  or month that is patriotic? We are all tasked with fighting this worthy fight. Your passion is the key to victory. Believe it!

If you like what we write, please share it with your friends and loved ones.

God Bless America and Happy Holidays.

Demonization of Wealth

Hello Fellow Patriots:

In the Jewish extent of important holidays, Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year’s, and Yom Kippur, the day of redemption, faith, and charity are the big two, that every observant Jew stops every day life and reflects on the past year. As I write this blog entry on the 20th anniversary of 9-11, I reflect on so many emotions within my being. I am:

• Humbled
• Angry
• Full of Regrets
• A bit Hopeless and resigned
• Lacking the faith I once had in my fellow man

I need to reflect on the meaning of 9-11. By the time you read this, the 20th anniversary of 9-11 will be retreating from memory. For some, those who lost a loved one then or in the fight that followed to righteously set wrongs right, 9-11 is like ground-hog day, with every morning bringing back deeply held memories that become part of who you are, your very being. For those people and others, 9-11, like Pearl Harbor did for all Americans in 1941 is a searing memory that does not diminish with time.

America, in its righteous anger, went after those that would wish to bring us to heal. With the extraordinary and painful payment of blood and treasure, you would be right to believe that we went down the wrong path this time. What went wrong? Far more than we have space to fill today. Suffice it to say that we once again allowed politicians rather than warriors to manage a military action. And, did not set firm goals and obtain them before claiming a false victory.

America is in transition. From where and to what is an open question. I had a Labor Day cookout at my house a few weeks ago. It became clear to me in listening to some of my guests that emotions ranged from anger, frustration, apathy, and even a kind of acquiescence to our new world view…losers. Observing and participating, I knew our innocence was lost in a maelstrom of mixed emotions that had no bottom, no obvious way back.

Yet, I know they were wrong, I felt it in my bones. Whether it is my good friend who is sure the end has come for America in the face of an ascendant China or another good friend who wants to trust the good intentions of those that have no demonstrated history of successful outcomes. America has been blessed with great leaders when we need them. Leaders who do not do focus testing to decide what they say and do, but instinctively do the right thing and will bring us along for the ride, even when it is not popular. In deference to my good friend who believes China is eating our lunch (they are) size of population and ambition are not determinants. Brains and Freedom are.

In the United States, even with the drag of millions of people whose most important thought and priority each day is their next meal or getting to the football game on time, we have more brains, innovators, and patriots than anyone else in the world. Take it on faith, there is no challenge, no problem, no issue, no bad government leadership that will overcome a simple, yet extraordinarily powerful American idea like Freedom.

Intellectual freedom, political freedom, physical freedom, and most of all economic freedom have the power of an atom bomb. With this freedom will come the leverage necessary to prevail, even in the face of seemingly overwhelming odds. We have been tested before with seemingly overwhelming odds and prevailed spectacularly.

Lately, we’ve largely been responsible for our own undoing, there is no question about that. We have been misled by our leaders, our thirst for trinkets, our love of leisure time, and our belief that there is a free lunch when there never is. Most of all, we choose to not take responsibility for how we got here.

Voting is a sacred right and privilege. I blame voters squarely for an incredible disinterest in learning what the issues are and the ramifications that result as a consequence. Just because something is hard; it’s not an excuse to vote for a sound bite. Do your research! Founding Father Benjamin Franklin wrote:

“When the people find that they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic.”
How true. How obvious. And, it has happened. No matter whether you are a Democrat, Republican, Independent, or just don’t care; we are all equally responsible for electing individuals that can’t grasp four simple concepts:

  1. You can’t spend more than you take in (except in times of war)
  2. You don’t go to war unless you plan to win at any cost
  3. You never establish a right by one group of people to raid the Peoples’ Treasury at will (entitlements)
  4. All leaders eventually stink like yesterday’s fish dinner (term limits)

We lost our innocence by believing that a representative government meant the citizens ceded interest  in the final product—good government. How we get it back is going to be messy. For the first time, I’ll  state that I don’t think we’re going to be successful at the ballot box to restore classical American  values. We’ve gone too far for too long.

You can see it in those polls that reinforce the administration’s  view that a majority of the people like the new entitlements and spending proposed in the new $3.5  Trillion bill now being circulating in Congress and slated for one-party passage. You see it the millions of  people sitting at home unwilling to go to work and make a living. You see it in destabilized families with  troubled children who can’t read and write well and with marriages that discourage the young from  replicating their parents’ successful lives. It’s a troubling time indeed.

It bears repeating…circle back to my statement “there is no challenge, no problem, no issue, no bad  government leadership that will overcome a simple, yet extraordinarily powerful American idea like

Freedom”. If you truly believe that, and you must if you don’t want to be a slave to the system or some vision of one-world government, you must resist. You must regain the belief in the power you already  have and confront the evil that is present in your lives.

There is no sugar coating it, the burdens of living a good life include the responsibility to do the heavy  lifting required. Remember Super Man? What was it he said, “Truth, Justice and the American Way?”  Having just emerged from the great depression, Superman uttered these words for the first time in early  1942 just after Pearl Harbor.

Those words are not just comic book lines, they personify what America was and what it must once again become or risk facing annihilation with barely a footnote in history  written by our enemies as a failed experiment. Don’t think this could happen? We see history being  rewritten today, before our very eyes, by the current liberal politicians who seek to stamp out views,  laws, and history that does not suit their narrative. Lord I know we are on the precipice; if only every  good person could/would see it!

We seemingly strayed far from our title of “Demonization of Wealth.” But not really. Wealth is how a  free nation measures its success. For those out there that want to replace wealth with Equity, wealth is  the enemy. By destroying our wealth, we, therefore, begin to transition to their concept of Equity.  Wealth and Equity are opposites in our view. For our purposes, it would be pretty fair to replace the  concept of Equity with Marxism. Our enemies no longer come straight at us. With stealth and lies, with  their minions in the press and office, they come as thieves in the night for your wealth. Don’t let them! Their immediate aim is to make everyone equally….poor.

Fellow Patriots and you are a Patriot if you have read this far, ask yourself the question, “If not you, then  who?” Find a way to contribute to the most important goals you have. Safeguard not just our heritage,  but our children’s future and that of billions of others yet to be enslaved by dark forces waiting in the  shadows. Every freedom-loving person, white, brown, or polka-dot has a place at this table, but, be  prepared to pay the price of admission.

Freedom is never free. And it’s a solemn duty we should thirst  for, work for, and even, if necessary, die for, just like some of our Founders did. More recently, we as a  nation and as Americans rightly protect our national interest here and abroad, we send our sons and  daughters all over the world, sometimes coming back in caskets or with broken bodies. I for one believe  America is worth that high price that requires this holy payment. I hope you do as well.

A good future can be ours if we are willing to expend the effort that freedom requires. God Bless America

Biden’s Choice to Destroy America’s Rich And Middle Class

Inflation-Biden’s Choice to Destroy America’s Rich And Middle Class

Hello Fellow Patriots:

Imagine you are conducting a survey both here and abroad. The instant question is: “Name three things that describe America powered by USA famous writer.” Even today, the typical answer will likely include these three descriptions:

  1. Wealthy
  2. Powerful
  3. Free

Our enemies hate us for exactly those three descriptions and for what they represent to their own power and prestige. We’ve seen a barrage of different tactics used to diminish our power and sow discord within our country. Take your pick from just these few:

  • Creating millions of uneducated individuals that only know and believe they live in a country that largely exists through the theft of wealth and ideas from others and through the subjugation of people in an institutionalized manner.
  • A system of government that has strayed from core principles to a degree that is difficult to imagine. A government that defies gravity by spending money it does not have as if that’s sustainable. Leaders who make decisions are not founded on logic but designed to maintain their power.
  • Over decades, allowing and encouraging flooding the country with tens of millions of immigrants who then, in turn, have tens of millions of babies that are allowed in, and then allowed to stay without requiring assimilation and regardless of their ability or desire to contribute to our country.
  • The breakdown of many founding principles but in particular the Rule of Law. Without the Rule of Law, society as a whole begins to devolve. Without the Rule of Law, the very concept of Truth, Morality, and Logic are thrown out the window.
  • To my mind, the rewriting of history is the most devious. The historical success of America is so obvious, so powerful and so revealing that our enemies cannot let that stand. In a manner not seen since Stalin, Mao, and Hitler, and without being conquered by a foreign power, our own people are rewriting our history as a kugel to wall off our success and to move us down in the expectation and belief system of others throughout the world.
  • The final tactic we’ll list here today is the most frightening to me. The ability of our enemies to seemingly make us not see what is happening and to freeze us in place while our society begins to crumble before our eyes.

Remember the imaginary survey we discussed at the beginning of this essay? Number one is “Power.” Like Superman, we have an Achilles Heel. Whereas Kryptonite was Superman’s Achilles Heel, our power and wealth give us the ability to project ourselves domestically and internationally. Take that power away, and, we become just another nation with nuclear weapons. Think Pakistan, Russia, India, or take your pick.

We are built on a much more fragile house of cards than you may suspect. What allows us to exist with the debt we have and that we are creating at an accelerated pace is simply the goodwill of the rest of the world. Let me explain. Every business day, the United States has Treasury Auctions to sell bonds to pay for older bonds being redeemed, to refinance older bonds, and frighteningly, to buy bonds to cover spending for money for newly created debt.

The United States is the number one place in the world that people come for financial safety and security. Approximately 39% of US debt is held by foreigners. Source: But that belies the real truth because some of our own bonds, worth trillions are bonds the Fed creates out of thin air and are not purchased with real money. The actual state of affairs may well be that the majority of US debt is held by foreigners. Either way, you have to wonder, what if bondholders felt their investment in our bonds was insecure? What could/would happen?

Ask yourself the question, what could create insecurity such that people begin dumping our bonds and just as importantly, stop buying our new bonds? Let’s state our supposed outcome…it would be Armageddon. Markets would collapse and not rebound, the Dollar would become devalued to a degree not seen since this happed to Germany in the 1920s and the Engine of the World; the United States would inexplicably grind to a halt. Frightening beyond belief? This is our central takeaway today.

United States policy today is leading us off a cliff. Crazy things are commonplace today. Watch our energy policy closely. No matter what you might think about the issue of Climate Change; put that aside and imagine a chain of events that we believe is beginning to unfold that could lead to this almost unimaginable outcome.

Hyperinflation can be triggered. Hyperinflation would have the power to destroy American Wealth today to an unimaginable degree. As bad as it was, the Great American Depression of the 1930s would have been much worse than it was if they were as leveraged as much as we are today.

In 1971 the United States went off the gold standard. Up to that point, our currency was backed by actual Gold. Today, we are a fiat currency backed only by the “Full Faith and Credit of the United States.” People used to have more “hard assets” back then. These kinds of “hard assets” held by millions of normal people kept the majority of people from dying of starvation. What would happen today if a similar economic calamity occurred? Frankly, we don’t even want to think about it.

I can’t read President Biden’s mind and I don’t know who is advising/running him. However, I see a pattern developing that truly scares me. By now, it must be becoming obvious that our government is not taking the necessary steps to lower energy prices.

This then leads us to the conclusion that they want to raise energy prices which has the salutary effect of helping support his “Green New Deal” fantasy. But what if his advisors and handlers actually want to throw the proverbial Hail Mary and not only raise energy prices but set off Hyperinflation? This would be a way to do that. If the US economy tanks, a ripple effect could be foreseen where Interest rates rise to a level that forces drastic borrowing cost increases that the Bond Market does not accept. On the day the US cannot sell its debt at reasonable rates, a run on bond redemptions would likely commence. Apocalyptic events and the end of the United States as a world leader would likely follow. Music to our enemy’s ears as they rush in and fill the vacuum.

American’s have the single largest amount of cash in the world at approximately 2 trillion dollars, with the majority held overseas.

Inflation-Biden’s Choice to Destroy America’s Rich And Middle Class

Source: Runaway inflation would devalue our currency incredibly fast thereby creating a need to increase the amount of currency in circulation quickly to retain liquidity and to keep civil calm. Unfortunately, it would have the opposite effect and people’s confidence in the system would likely erode quickly as their wealth was converted from Dear dollars to Inflated dollars’ worth far less. This is entirely foreseeable.

Perhaps I am burying the lead a bit, but if I hated America and wanted to see it fade away as a major world power, this is the way I might try and do it. America without its wealth is a nation without the resources to affect world outcomes. It would not have the ability to pay for its military and would have to seek compromises with other countries at a distinct disadvantage in terms of leverage and ability to exert counter pressure.

Once America is removed from the chessboard, without a way to counter its enemies effectively, China would assume the mantle of world leadership. And, that’s not a good thing or even something we could live with. China is not a nation comparable to the United States. China is the Chinese Communist Party. China is the outward extension of the Party. This is fundamentally different than how the United States operates.

China understands that its very survival is dependent on worldwide Communist domination. During the Second World War, Japan spoke of its relationship to conquered countries in its so-called Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. “Little Sisters and Cousins” was a phrase often used to describe the very one-way relationship. And, so it is with China. China left unrestrained is a threat of such unimaginable proportions that it is hard to get your arms wrapped around it. Yet millions and millions of people are willing to make a devil’s bargain with China. The so-called “Gold or Lead” dilemma updated to modern times.

I know there are disbelievers among our readers who believe that China is coequal with us and generally one can substitute for the other. Think equals except for different names. But, that’s not true. China only values its population as a means to an end and has historically used its people as pawns in a game of world domination. As you have read in our previous essays, Xi Jinping is a ruthless dictator with designs beyond any previous leader except perhaps for Mao himself had ever envisioned.

Please believe me when I say that it is all too easy to believe that thousands of doctrinal Chinese work night and day strategizing on the right strategy and tactics to achieve their vision; a world no longer dominated by the United States but instead, a world completely dominated by China alone.

Our CIA and other intelligence agencies are fundamentally different from a generation ago. Spies in the field have been replaced by too many analysts and “technical means” of collecting and evaluating intelligence. Worse yet, the services are shot through with people under 45 thoroughly indoctrinated in what today we simply call Woke Thinking. The days of direct actions to protect our country are minimal if they exist at all.

Our intelligence agencies possess “morals” that harken back to the 1800s when it was not considered gentlemanly to read “someone else’s mail.” Fellow Patriots…that’s how you lose wars (sound familiar) and misconstrue what intelligence you do collect. The US intelligence community has been wrong on almost every major issue since Viet Nam. And, that after we spend more than 80 billion dollars a year on intelligence here in America. Source:

Let me share with you some ancient history. History that China looks at while we worry about passing fads:
“Thucydides’ Trap: ‘When a rising power threatens to displace a ruling power’ the path to war is set. It comes from the famous line in Thucydides, about the descent into a war between Ancient Greece’s two most powerful city-states, Athens and Sparta: ‘It was the rise of Athens and the fear this instilled into Sparta that made war inevitable.’

Our analysis is that China is likely to believe that we will leave the world stage and subjugate ourselves to China. They would be wrong. We will fight; it is in our nature. China will misconstrue because it is in its nature to be opportunistic. In a reverse situation, they would retreat and bide their time. Much as they did from the time of Nixon and forward until around 2000. These kinds of miscalculations are how wars commence.

China is preparing for war even as we sing Woke kumbaya around some mythical campfire. All this, according to their 30-year plan. One more thing. War will be non-nuclear. No one wants scorched earth. China intends to make us whole. They believe they can. We must disabuse them of this belief by becoming more aggressive ourselves. Biden is an existential threat to peace because they are weighing how he will react in a crisis. Biden is distinctly unimpressive on both the domestic and world stages.

There is a strategy going forward that will stop them. However, it requires leadership that we don’t have today. Climate alarmists like to say we have X number of years before our planet becomes uninhabitable. Though an incredible lie at its core; that’s great messaging for the Animal Farm cast of characters.

Here’s my answer:
We have six years to rebuild America before China feels emboldened enough to take us on directly. I’m not talking about “Build Back Better” or other fairytale fables you might hear. I’m talking about setting our house in order and rebuilding our ability to go it alone if necessary. I’m talking about an entirely new approach using our best minds, best corporations, and overlaid with our Founding’s principles that made us great in the first place.

Unleash the resident power of our country through the abandonment of stupid policies that sap our energy and return nothing. I am speaking to the exceptionalism that is still in our DNA. It is our moonshot moment and it will galvanize us like we haven’t been since God knows when.

I hope you think hard about what I’m saying and presenting to you here today. The future is ours if we can keep it! Whether we do or not is up to every one of us individually and collectively.

God Bless America

How Quickly We Forget our History

Reaping the Whirlwind

Reaping the Whirlwind

We live in a different America than I grew up in.

Plainly speaking your mind today can be dangerous due to the offense someone is inevitably going to take. A societal passiveness dominates the minds, thoughts, and actions of those who should know better. Today, my message is harsh and will not be well received by some…

There is no death by a thousand cuts for the thinking man. We know what’s what and recognize there’s no boundary to what ‘they demand’ we must abide by. No limit to any indignity, half-truths, or banal bending of what you know to be true but dare not freely acknowledge lest the mob descend upon you and poke out your eyes like so many mindless chickens.

I am speaking to those of you who think like I that the end of a long road is upon us. 30-40 years of bending, complying, compromising, and faking a belief that somehow the world is indeed different than we grew up in. But it’s not.

The world has no great mysteries to hide, no secret truth; what you see is what you get.

But you would not know it from listening to all those who wish to beat you to death with their view of the world. A view, you must adopt wholeheartedly or perish, in their calculation, in fact, the better that you perish; I believe this in my heart. Because in this Brave New World there is no room for another view.

You must believe the party line on everything or you are the enemy.

Where does that leave us? Let’s explore the possibilities.

World events perpetuating America’s destruction:

  • Biden in Glasgow, Scotland without China, Russia, and India who together produce more greenhouse gasses than anyone else and who are not reducing their greenhouse contribution.  If climate change is an existential problem, how does that work? Does it even matter to them? Biden is behind America’s destruction…
  • Immigration—two million people invade the US border and achieve effective legal status from the Biden administration despite breaking our laws by coming here. Who benefits?
  • Walmart shelves (and others) can’t keep up with demand, sending a signal to all that those shortages may intensify thereby accelerating hoarding. Is the US on the verge of becoming a new third-world nation where crippling shortages exist?
  • 1/3 of all oilfield drilling equipment is idled by government fiat. Loans to oil companies to fund drilling are officially discouraged by public policy thereby tightening the supply spiral while oil prices shoot higher.
  • The Pandemic will shortly move into a third year with millions of people religiously hanging on to every public pronouncement, condemnation, restrictions, and emergency measure. Many Virtues Signal their support of government oversight in their daily lives. It has become a new religion with Faucism at its core.
  • Children in the crosshairs; education is in shambles and priorities at school are Gay Rights, Trans Rights, and removing all vestiges of our incredible history.
  • Trump is likened to the sword of Damocles. The mere utterance of his name stops people in their tracks and ends debates, thought, and reasonableness.
  • China is allowed to script the next chapter of world history with little pushback. America willingly gives up its industrial might and world leadership due to Woke policies and financial bribery. China is behind America’s destruction.
  • The clarion utterance of Racism is like a drug that freezes White people in their tracks and gives cover to all those that have waited to run wild with their fanatical ideas that seem to have no bounds. Extremism has become normalized. Denunciation is the new coin of the realm. Make any outrageous claim and not face intellectual scrutiny.
  • Money, money, money, spend like there is no tomorrow, a government that does not govern, but aids the Destroyers in their quest to slaughter the fatted cow known formerly as America. Overspending is behind America’s destruction…

There is no tomorrow, there is only today. The way back begins with realizing that the time to dither is gone.

The time to ponder is passed.

The time to figure out how best to react in the face of such monstrous horror is over. The monster has come and plundered us. We are all in its wake now. You just don’t realize it yet. Yet, it is not too late to fight back. It’s never too late. Do not wring your hands, leave that to the dead and dying.

For you, for me, it’s blood for blood. It’s time to fight back. To no longer tie one hand behind your back. It is time to speak the truth, speak plainly especially amongst the simpleton, the fearful, and speak with conviction and then act with decisiveness and valor. The Destroyers have worked their worst and left us in dire straits with our backs up against the wall.

They think we are done in. Let those who are trying to destroy America discover otherwise.

Our enemies expect us to give up, roll over and capitulate to save whatever we can, no matter what small smidgen that might be. But I stand here to say that we are still the seed corn of our forbearers and we will not roll over and take whatever pittance of survival is offered. It’s all or nothing for me. How about you?

Fight we must. But who is the enemy? In a demonic manner, our enemies have masked themselves from our view. They are not people whom you might smite outright, they become vague notions, apparitions, and ideas that have taken form in our everyday lives and used sorcery to change our world in ways too horrible to contemplate.

Who is behind America’s destruction?

They strike us in our hearts, our minds, our pocketbooks, and in our exceptionalism. That which makes us distinctly different from all other modern societies.

Where are America’s enemies hiding?

  • Attacks on the nuclear family
  • Shortages of material goods
  • The destruction of our very dignity
  • The theft of a better future for our children
  • The creation of false prophets
  • Collectivism
  • Hatred of the Individual who strives
  • The Invasion of the home country to serve the One Worlders
  • The gutting of the American Experience and its history
  • The Promotion of Mediocrity above all else

We are the Fatted Cows

All these things my friends have become the enemy that sucks our lifeblood drop by drop. And, we stand by and let it happen. How can this be? How did it come to this when so many see what is taking place in the clear light of day? What miraculous drug blinds us and forces us to assist in our own suicide? Was it greed? Sophistry? Was it slothfulness or was it something else?

Our Founders always worried about people who did not fear starvation. People with a full stomach who could ruminate over ethereal and unimportant matters while Rome burned. That their priorities thus become misaligned and somehow pave the way for what did transpire. Now, what do you say?

For too many, the fight will never come. We are too old, too placid, too fearful, and too overwhelmed to do anything meaningful. But, for those disadvantaged individuals with the spunk to fight and the understanding of what they have lost and what they might yet recover, all is not lost.

The thing you have to understand about fighting is that until you commence the fight, everything is measured from today’s understanding and perceptions. Once the fight has commenced, that becomes history. The day the fight begins, a new history can be, will be written. The measure of your enemy is always a reflection of yourself.

Your enemies base their actions on your prior actions.

They make certain conjectures and conclusions based on their historical experience. If you fight now, they will not expect it. They believe you to be well cowed and no longer a tangible threat to their worldview. They believe you are subjugated and brought low. Show them that you are not.

Strike them not in a proportional and measured way, but in the way of someone who is fighting for their lives, with a fierceness they do not possess and anger derived from righteous indignation that others might want to take all that you have so that they become your new masters and overseers.

The Destroyers of America have been very careful over the last generation.

They have attempted mightily and well to make incremental changes that can be digested by the masses, one indignity at a time. One falsehood at a time. Along with the indignity has been the constant drip-drip-drip hammering families in a hundred different ways.

Who or what else is behind America’s destruction?

Social media, mass media, cell phones, government, all have their place on the altar of societal destruction. The way back will be difficult and long. Not all will make it. It’s as if a new diaspora is upon us and not all will return together.  Do not think I am banging the drum too long or too loud. It’s been quiet for far too long and we will all need a lot of reminding before it is over.

Gather your family and friends, associate with those that are like-minded and committed to a new beginning.

Always remember, that, unlike this blog entry which is ending for today, our needs, desires, and responsibilities are with us constantly. Like you, I seek to be with those that are positive and good and gravitate to the light.

I hope you believe as I do, that the time to take back our life, traditions and country is upon us. Who among us will take that first leap?

To our continued freedom,

How quickly we forget our history

How Quickly We Forget our History

Widely ascribed to Yogi Berra, this quote will warm you up to today’s topic: “How quickly we forget our history.” The hardest thing conservative activists face is effectively motivating the many who, for one reason or another, can’t, won’t, or don’t understand the threat we are under. Thousands of conservative writers are spot on describing the plight of America and what can or should be done about it.

Unfortunately, millions of you read and agree and then go about your daily lives with no further thought as to taking action. Waking up America is both the path forward and the only way we can achieve awareness and then act to engage the threat. Today, I’ll write to what amounts to a history lesson that I hope resonates in your bones, your mind, and your very being. Read along with me as I review a slice of history that should shake every American to his/her core.

It’s Déjà Vu All Over Again

Hello Fellow Patriots:

Yogi had it right. Like some kind of Ground Hog Day, people seem to repeat their history over and over again. Whether due to intellectual laziness, a poor education, too much focus on daily living, or other myriad reasons, America has a poor memory compared to other countries when it comes to learning political lessons. Lessons often learned by the expenditure of blood and treasure.

Case in point: America’s current infatuation with all things Collectiveness. Riddle me this Batman, point out to me all the successful countries in the world that thrive on Socialist, Marxist, or European style governance? North Korea anyone? Heck, everyone knows that Sweden is prosperous and Socialist; right? Europe in general? China? As Rush Limbaugh used to say…” For our friends in Loma Linda, the answer is none!”

  • North Korea, Cuba, Viet Nam, China, and Laos are the only Communist countries left. There used to be 41 other communist countries, too many to list here.
  • Sweden gave up socialism in the 1970s. Factoid: Only 9% of Swedes are favorable to socialism today vs. 36% of Americans.
  • Europe has been becoming more like we used to be even as we are becoming more like they used to be. Isn’t that interesting?
  • China is Communist, no question. But Communism could not feed their people or grow their economy so they became a hybrid, a Communist government with a Capitalist economy. That’s pragmatism. Except, having reached the goals they previously aspired to, they are currently reigning in Capitalism as they fear losing control of their own people. Revolution anyone?

This then brings us to the next chapter of our story that I’ll call “The Cold-Water Treatment.”

Here’s another Power Statement: Socialism, Communism, and Marxism are not just kissing cousins, they are identical triplets.  Brothers and sisters with largely the same DNA, ambitions, goals, and philosophy. All three depend on a degree of coercion that Patriots immediately reject for all the reasons that freedom-loving individuals espouse.

Chapter II-The Cold-Water Treatment

Cold Water Treatment

Let me tell you a story plucked from the Congressional Record recorded on January 10, 1963, entitled Current Communist Goals. There were 45 goals discussed in this well-publicized hearing 58 years ago. Let me quote from just a few of the goals that World Communism espoused back then that were essential for their survival:

  • U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
  • U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
  • Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.
  • Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
  • Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
  • Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
  • Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
  • Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
  • Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
  • Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
  • Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
  • Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
  • Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
  • Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”
  • Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
  • Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
  • Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
  • Infiltrate the churches and replace religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”
  • Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
  • Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
  • Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
  • Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
  • Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
  • Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
  • Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
  • Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
  • Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use united force to solve economic, political or social problems.
  • Internationalize the Panama Canal.
  • Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems.

The foregoing is so stark, compelling, and should raise the hair on the back of your neck that you may think this is made up. Go to and read the source material for yourself under the heading of “Resources”. The degree that our country has moved slowly but inexplicably towards Marxism is undeniable. Read the bullets above and realize that Marxism is taking hold here, right before our eyes. Who is driving this relentless attack on our institutions, morals and, history? And, how have they been getting away with it for so long and so openly?
The best source material you will ever read is the book “The Naked Communist” by W. Cleon Skousen. Here are a few excerpts:

  • It is a terrible and awesome thing when a man sets out to create all other men in his own image. Such became the goal and all-consuming ambition of Karl Marx.
  • Marx surveyed the world and dreamed of the day when the whole body of humanity could be forced into a gigantic social image which conformed completely to Marx’s dream of a perfect society.
  • He visualized a regimented breed of Pavlovian men whose minds could be triggered into immediate action by signals from their masters. He wanted a race of men who would no longer depend upon free will, ethics, morals or conscience for guidance.
  • Marx was setting out to create a race of human beings conditioned to think like criminals.
  • A new race of man to be named…Homo-Marxian
  • He lives exclusively by the jungle law of selfish survival. In terms of these values, he is rational almost to the point of mathematical precision.
  • Self-preservation is given as the sole justification for his own behavior

Scary, over the top, or hyperbole? I for one shudder with fear at the power of individuals so debased, lacking in humanity and so set against that spark of the divine resident in each man or woman that they would consciously and with glee condemn us to oblivion, with little distinction between the average farm animal and humanity. That other humans can think like that, act like that is beyond my ability to comprehend. As you read these words, I wonder what you are thinking? Do you read this essay without emotion, as if you are reading a work of fiction?

Are you angry but feel as if you have no outlet for your anger? Do you take a biblical position that the End of Days is coming? That you must be free to think and contemplate is the nexus proposition I hope you understand and accept. Under Marxist, Communist or Socialistic views your free will cannot coexist with these means of enslaving your mind and body. You are either free or you are not. Socialism, Communism, Totalitarianism, and other hybrids are born of the same Mother. America is moving in this direction.

Just as one plus one equals two is true, you are either free to make your own way or you are not. All the “isms” ultimately artificially restrain you from living your life standing on your own two legs. Only by living and exceeding and sometimes failing along the way can we truly be free.

Only freedom enlarges the pie and leads to prosperity. Communism, Socialism, and all the rest must steal from Free People to paper over their inherent failures. China’s use of Capitalism to grow their economy and feed their people, all the while stealing intellectual property willy-nilly is all the proof you need that Capitalism, with all its faults and warts, is infinitely superior to everything else.

Teach the children, resist a government that would lead them down the path of ruin. Live your life in the light and in a manner that God and logic demand. Be the shepherd of your flock and always be gracious, giving, and good because it is logical and right to be.

Fellow Patriots, it is my job, your job, everyone’s job to postulizing what is required to enjoy a successful and upright life. When we all live right, our society grows and the bounty that results lifts all boats. Good must confront evil. I hope you agree and thank you for reading along with me.

One last thing. Please leave your comments and spread this history. That is something concrete that you can do that makes a difference. Is there a topic you would like me to write about? I’m always interested in your feedback and ideas.

God Bless America
Allan J. Feifer
